Calf Creek Farms was established in 2003 as a Thoroughbred Horse breeding business with the intent of partnering with horse enthusiasts who are interested in pooling together and actively co-owning race horses while minimizing the risk of individual ownership of a thoroughbred race horse.

Dan Gandy, owner of Calf Creek Farms, was a very successful Texas high school football coach. He is now the owner of Touchdown Real Estate in San Angelo, Texas. Dan owns and manages the racing interests of the group to maximize the potential of each co-ownership.

Investment Opportunities
Calf Creek Farms has developed an investment strategy that allows each  co-owner to be an active part of the race horse ownership experience
while minimizing the investment risk. Calf Creek Farms sells 75% of every racing horse we breed and train. Each share is valued at $160.00, with a minimum investment of $800.00 or 5%. Additional shares can be purchased in 5% increments, which allows investors to diversify by purchasing shares of multiple horses.

The total investment of $12,000.00 per horse is used for boarding, training, veterinarian service, transportation, ferrier, track registration, entry fees, etc.

If a horse is not able to make it to the track, he/she will be trained or sold as polo ponies, with the sales amount being divided among shareholders according to their ownership percentages. If the horse makes it to the track after training, the owners will divide the winnings, less the racing expenses
Calf Creek Farms provides all necessary documentation to shareholders upon investment. Once a horse is delivered to its trainer it takes approximately 3 to 4 months to know if the horse will be a strong competitor on the track.

Calf Creek Farms currently has race horse investment opportunities available.
